I co-founded Design for Freedom because I know what it’s like to feel stuck in the cycle of freelance unpredictability—doing incredible work, yet constantly scrambling for the next gig. With over 15 years in design and a track record of helping more than 16,000 people launch their creative careers, I’ve seen a clear pattern: too many brilliant designers are exhausted, underpaid, and creatively stifled by the hustle of chasing inconsistent clients.

Throughout my journey, whether running my own agency, mentoring junior designers, or teaching at scale, I kept coming back to the same realization: the freelance model is broken for most people. It trades freedom for burnout. That’s why I created Design for Freedom—to help designers break that cycle and build something sustainable. Something scalable. Something that lets them design their life, not just someone else’s brand.
