Anusia Gillespie spent over a decade working at the intersection of law and technology, most recently leading go-to-market and enterprise operations at the legal AI company vLex through its billion-dollar acquisition by Clio. She co-instructed at Harvard Law School Executive Education alongside Dr. Heidi K. Gardner and has shared speaking engagements with Richard Susskind OBE.

While carrying that workload, Anusia spent five years writing Soul Toll, a novel blending corporate ambition with personal awakening that became an Amazon bestseller after its 2025 release. That experience of building something real alongside a demanding career led her to found Soul Toll in January 2026, a bottega and launchpad for people trying to do the same with their own creative work.
