Christina Fonthes is a Congolese-British writer and the founder of REWRITE, a global creative writing organisation for Black women and women of colour. She is the author of the novel Where You Go, I Will Go, which explores themes of identity, migration, and queer African lives. In 2021 she received the Royal Society of Literature Sky Arts Writers Award for Fiction and was mentored by established authors including Bernardine Evaristo and Irenosen Okojie. Christina draws on her writing, lived experience, and passion for representation to build inclusive literary community and support emerging voices.

She founded REWRITE to create a safe, empowering space where women of colour writers can connect, grow, and pursue publication and creative growth. Under her leadership the organisation has evolved from a small meetup group in London into a thriving global community offering writing courses, mentorship, retreats, and structured support for underrepresented writers worldwide.
