About
Daniel Arakawa
99th Percentile LSAT Coach · Harvard Law Admit · Truman Scholar
I grew up in Kaneohe, Hawaii. Before I ever considered law school, I worked at Dairy Queen and Whole Foods. I self-studied for the LSAT and went from a 162 to a 174 in under one month — not because I got smarter, but because I figured out the method.
I was admitted to Harvard Law School, became a Harry S. Truman Scholar, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from my local public university. No legacy. No Ivy undergrad.
I've been coaching debate at the high school and collegiate level for over a decade, and I've personally coached more than 200 LSAT students through the Vanguard program.
I built this program because I believe the LSAT is learnable — and because the gap between students who can afford elite prep and those who can't is one of the most unfair parts of the law school admissions process. Vanguard exists to close that gap.
