I’m Erin Kent, founder of EKC, a global literacy consultancy partnering with international schools to design research-based, context-sensitive learning experiences. Before EKC, I worked in urban, independent, and international school settings as a teacher, literacy coach, and PK-12 Director of Curriculum & Instruction. I saw first-hand that one-size-fits-all literacy PD doesn’t truly match varied cultural, linguistic, and pedagogical contexts, so I built EKC around customization, equity, and deep educator support.

EKC operates with over 50 literacy strategists, courses in six languages, both online and in-person training, and a global network spanning 400+ international schools. We support educators through course libraries, community membership, bespoke consulting projects, retreats, and ongoing professional learning so schools can improve student literacy with both coherence and adaptability.
