Julie Masson is the founder of Nonprofit Comms Club and a former nonprofit CCO. She has 18 years of experience helping nonprofit teams communicate on purpose instead of reacting to the next request. Based in Kansas City, she has spent her career pushing back on last-minute asks from leadership while still caring deeply about the mission behind the work.

She built Nonprofit Comms Club because nothing like it existed when she needed it most: a community made specifically for nonprofit communicators, not general marketing advice repackaged for the sector. Through monthly CCO Roundtables, quarterly trainings, and her Think Like a CCO course, Julie helps communicators develop the strategic mindset of a CCO, even when they are the only person on their team.
