Matt Jones has spent his career working to make New Zealand workplaces safer, from managing health and safety at small construction firms to serving as national H&S Manager for Airways New Zealand. He holds a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health from Massey University, is registered with HASANZ, and today leads Advanced Safety as Director and Principal Consultant.

In 2016 Matt founded the New Zealand Health and Safety Professionals network, which has grown to more than 4,000 members and given him a close view of the day-to-day challenges practitioners face. That experience shaped Safety Connect, a space built for H&S practitioners to learn from each other, stay current on regulation, and grow their careers.
