Michael Smith is a practicing architect and founder of Spec UP and has multiple roles across the architecture and media industries.

Michael is a director of andever, an award-winning boutique architectural practice located in Carlton Victoria.

Within the media sector Michael is an industry commentator and published author having written articles for The Age, Domain and various industry bodies.

In 2023 Michael won the Bates Smart Award for Architecture in the Media by the Australian Institute of Architects (Victoria Chapter).

Michael has also gained critical experience in the marketing of building products through his role as Consulting Architect for Built Environment Channel.
