I’m Michelle Fifis, founder and creator of Textile Design Lab. I began my career as a textile designer, leaving a corporate role in 2010 to launch a freelance practice, then moved into teaching online in 2011, helping artists and designers level up both craft and business. Over time I’ve built a warm, global membership space where members get tutorials, peer feedback, and guidance toward owning their pattern-design careers. My work is rooted in listening—to clients, to market, and to one’s own creative instincts.

In Textile Design Lab, you’ll find video tutorials, PDF guides, and audio lessons that break down craft, branding, licensing, and designing for different product markets. The membership emphasizes real client-ready skills: preparing files for print/apparel, making designs for home décor or licensing, and learning the business side of pattern design. The community is responsive and supportive, with experienced designers giving feedback and helping newer designers find clarity.
