Nina Young is the founder and CEO of Surveyors UK, the independent professional home for the UK surveying profession.

Surveyors UK exists because the profession needed somewhere independent of professional bodies, software vendors, and institutions. Somewhere off social media. Somewhere built around community, visibility, and practical support rather than pay-to-rank lead generation.

Nina founded The Surveying Room in 2025 as the free community at the heart of the platform. It now spans every surveying discipline across the UK. She is also the creator of the GUARD Framework, the AI governance system mapped to the RICS Professional Standard on Responsible Use of AI in Surveying Practice, which became effective on 9 March 2026.

Nina is the host of the This Is Surveying podcast, writes the AI in Surveying and Surveying Matters newsletters, and works directly with surveying firms on AI compliance, marketing, and growth.
