Hey! It’s me, Paul Millerd.

I “retired” from the corporate world in 2017 after ten years of working in strategy consulting. I wasn’t close to being financially free or jumping toward some bold entrepreneurial path. I just couldn’t do it any longer. I was performing a role that wasn’t me and I needed to find a new way of showing up in my life.

I’ve been writing about our relationship with work since 2016 and have been obsessed with the mystery of how we have increasingly narrowed our conception of life down to something that centers around a job.

What I found was that people were struggling to fit their lives into a default path that was no longer working. Many people were inventing new paths and new scripts for their lives but struggled to feel good about what they were up to. That's why I created the Pathless Path community - a community of curious humans who want more than life on the default path.
