Extreme Weather Survivors brings together people across the United States who have lived through floods, fires, droughts, extreme heat, blizzards, air quality/pollution, and other extreme weather events, uniting them in one supportive community.

Its work centers on three areas members can take part in throughout the year: learning from and supporting one another, sharing their advice and stories, and working together to create change that improves things for survivors now and in the future.

    Members connect with extreme weather survivors across the country to learn from each other and offer mutual support.

  • Advocacy and Storytelling

    The community connects members with opportunities to share their stories, helping raise awareness and advocate for survivors.

  • Trauma Support and Trainings

    Free trauma support from mental health professionals and advocacy trainings serve both survivors and first responders.

  • Resources

    Members can access resources 24/7, from quick 10-minute supports to deeper sessions over an hour long, available through Community Conversations and Survivors for Change.

  • Accessible in Spanish

    We work hard to reach underserved communities, including Spanish speakers, by making our programs and resources accessible in both English and Spanish. Our entire online community can be translated into Spanish with 1 click!
