Once mold is part of the picture, most people want to know what to take. I start somewhere else. Detox is an order, not a product, and the sequence matters more than any single supplement.

When I say "detox," I mean supporting your body's own pathways: your liver, your gut, your kidneys, and your skin. Not a cleanse in a box. This ten-page guide is the companion to my Mold Testing guide, and it walks you through the order I work in. First, address the source, because no plan works while the exposure continues. Then open the pathways, so your body isn't asked to release more than it can keep up with. Then build the foundations: water, your plate, and fiber, every day.

From there, I explain the nutrients and herbs clinicians commonly use to support the liver and detox pathways, with an "Ask first if" column and no doses. You'll learn what a genetic assessment can and can't tell you, how to approach sauna or a warm bath safely, and the binders clinicians commonly consider, from activated charcoal to provider-prescribed cholestyramine, including why timing matters around your medications, supplements, and nutrients.

You'll also get a checklist of what to bring to your provider and a tracker to fill in for a week or two before your visit. I would rather you go slowly and feel steady than go fast and feel worse, and the plan itself belongs with a clinician who knows you.

Educational content only, not medical advice.

Outcomes

  • Know why I address the source before anything else
  • Understand drainage and the four pathways I ask about
  • Understand the nutrients and herbs clinicians commonly use
  • Understand binders, timing, and why going slowly matters
  • Walk in with a checklist and a symptom tracker

What's included?

  • Start here

What "detox" means in this guide, why there are no doses, and the six-step order I work in.

  • Source first, and your genes

Why exposure comes first, a checklist before you start any protocol, and what a genetic assessment can and can't do.

  • Open the pathways

Bowels, kidneys, liver, and skin, why going too fast can make you feel worse, and signs to pause and call your provider.

  • The foundations

Water, your plate, fiber, and gentle fasting windows, including who should skip them.

  • Liver support

Nutrients and herbs clinicians commonly use: what each one is, why clinicians consider it, and when to ask first. No doses and no brands.

  • Sweat, bind, and keep things moving

Sauna and warm baths with plain safety notes, the binders clinicians commonly consider and why timing matters, and daily habits for regularity.

  • Your checklist and tracker

What to bring to your provider, plus a tracker for symptoms, changes, and how you felt.

Who is this for?

  • Mold is in the picture. Mold has been confirmed or strongly suspected, and you want to understand the support side before your next appointment.
  • You've done the testing. You've tested your home or your body, maybe with my Mold Testing guide, and you want to know what comes next.
  • You want to go slowly and feel steady. You want a clear order, a checklist, and a tracker so you and your provider can build the plan together.
