This Chinese-language System Design course is for engineers who have no systematic answer framework yet. Lessons use English technical terms and whiteboard work on Excalidraw, so practice matches a real interview. Harold Z built it from his own 150+ System Design interviews as a candidate and interviewer, plus feedback from mentees.
The course starts with a reusable framework and the core components behind most designs, then applies it to real interview questions that range from Easy to Hard. Each problem runs from requirements clarification through API design and High-Level Design to a Deep Dive. It suits Mid and Senior engineers, and beginner Juniors, who want a solid base before targeting big tech companies.

Week 1 builds a reusable answer framework, then covers the core components behind most designs: databases, caching, message queues, CDN and load balancing.
8 practice problems from Easy to Hard
Real interview questions such as a Yelp-style proximity service, Dropbox, ticket booking, WhatsApp-style chat, Facebook News Feed and an online auction, each walked through the full framework.
Whiteboard practice on Excalidraw
Each problem is worked on Excalidraw from requirements clarification to API design, High-Level Design and Deep Dive, replicating the real whiteboard workflow of an interview.
Pattern review and interview tips
The final lesson summarizes the patterns behind the practice problems and shares interview techniques for the live round.
