We SeeTheLines is an online and in-person education platform led by travel artist Alán Ramiro Manning, designed to help people of all experience levels build a confident, personal sketching practice. Alán's method blends technical foundations — one-point perspective, proportions, composition, and his signature shadow-first approach — with a focus on personal expression and intuitive flow. Online courses are filmed on location around the world, giving members the feel of sketching in Italy, Mexico, Japan, and beyond from anywhere. Alán also leads monthly in-person workshops in Lisbon and hosts international sketching retreats in Morocco, Galicia, Prague, Portugal, and Latin America. A recurring Sketching Life Workshop meets weekly online to keep members in active practice, from beginner to advanced. The platform is built around the belief that artistic talent is not a prerequisite — only the willingness to start.
