Modern life pulls people away from practical skills their ancestors once relied on. Wild Tales exists for people who feel that pull back the other way, toward growing, making, and learning with their hands. Jack Harries started the community after leaving London for Cornwall, where growing his own food and living more seasonally changed how he thought about daily life. Wild Tales grew out of that shift, built to connect people with practitioners who still hold this knowledge rather than leaving it to disappear.

Members join seasonal learning circles led by experienced practitioners, take part in in-person workshops and gatherings, and meet weekly for live calls with Jack to talk through what they're learning. A private, algorithm-free space keeps the conversation going between sessions, so members can share their projects and progress with people on the same path. The community currently includes 150+ members learning from 10+ practicing instructors across skills like foraging, fermenting, herbalism, and natural navigation.
