Sarah Williams (she/they) is the Managing Director of York Creatives. After joining the board of directors as the board member for Writing, Publishing and Poetry in 2024, they stepped up to become Managing Director in April 2025 alongside John Rose-Adams as Chair and Co-Director.

Since then, Sarah and John have registered York Creatives as a Community Interest Company and completed multiple funded projects and consulted on various creative programs in conjuncture with the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority, City of York Council, Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, National Trust and various local creative groups. Their main goal with York Creatives is to help shape York into a city where professional creatives can live and work with help and support. The core belief of York Creatives is that York is a very creative city and that it should be more than possible for creatives to make a living here through their artistic work.
