Stefani Faye started She Roams almost by accident: she and two close friends spent their weekends chasing local outdoor adventures around Arizona, and other women kept asking to come along or to be shown how to do the same on their own. Rather than let that interest go unanswered, she and her friends organized their first official retreat, guiding eight women through a Grand Canyon hike, most of them meeting each other for the first time at the trailhead.

Since that first trip, Stefani has built She Roams into a company running small-group hiking, kayaking, and camping retreats across Arizona and international destinations including Madeira and Peru. She designs every retreat around a physical challenge paired with a personal growth theme, drawing on her own belief that women build real, lasting friendships through shared adventure rather than by staying comfortable at home.
