Tasha McCaskiel founded Black Girls In Media in 2018 after struggling to find her footing early in her own media career fresh out of graduate school. She built what started as a small support network into a professional community and talent pipeline for Black women pursuing careers in media and entertainment.
Under her leadership, Black Girls In Media has grown into a organization with a large following, hosting an annual conference described as the largest of its kind for minority women professionals in media. Tasha continues to focus on mentorship, networking, and career access for members navigating the same industry she once did.
