Tayla Holman has spent 15 years as a healthcare writer and content strategist, holding an M.S. in Health Communication from Boston University and a B.A. in Print Journalism & English from Hofstra University. She has spent years helping organizations communicate health information clearly, with a focus on patient education for marginalized communities.

Alongside her writing practice, Tayla built a jewelry brand, a Substack newsletter, and a handful of tools to solve problems she kept running into, all in isolation. That experience of building alone is what led her to start The Table We Built, a community where Black women entrepreneurs would not have to figure it out by themselves.
