Tom is the Founder & CEO of Vertical Motion, which turns good people into great leaders. Tom has closed more than $1.5B in new business throughout his career, has an MBA from Georgia State University, and holds multiple patents for his work in satellite technology innovation. Tom also served in the US Army as a combat medic and satellite controller, and volunteers as a mentor and speaker at Patriot Boot Camp, which helps veterans and military spouses enter the world of entrepreneurship. He lives in Denver, Colorado with his wife of 20+ years and two teenage children.

Vertical Motion was founded in early 2023, while Tom Cox was still fighting a battle against Acute Myeloid Leukemia. When he rang the bell and was given a new lease on life, Tom retired from a 25-year career in Aerospace and Defense and decided to devote the rest of his life to one thing: helping good people become great leaders.
