Aleksei Chursin is a Kotlin/Java developer with more than seven years of experience, having worked on systems at companies including Nike, Allegro, and Deutsche Börse. He has worked in teams ranging from two to forty people, both remote and on-site, and has spent the past two years leading junior engineers. His technical focus includes reactive programming and cloud infrastructure, and he holds certifications from Oracle, AWS, and Camunda.

That mix of hands-on engineering and team leadership shaped his interest in helping other developers grow with more clarity and confidence. He founded The Legion to give developers a place to connect, learn from each other, and build their skills together. Outside his day-to-day engineering work, Aleksei mentors emerging tech professionals and keeps a close eye on the fast pace of AI and machine learning.
