Felicity Hughes is a Registered Midwife and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant based in Sydney, Australia. She trained as a primary school teacher before changing careers after a difficult breastfeeding experience with her first child, later completing a Bachelor of Midwifery with Distinction at the University of Technology Sydney and earning her IBCLC certification.

That personal experience shaped her approach to lactation care and led her to found Motherhood Matters, where she and her team support families through everything from routine feeding questions to complex challenges. Felicity was the inaugural recipient of the Lactation Consultants Association of Australia and New Zealand's Award for Excellence in Lactation Care and helped create Australia's first standalone breastfeeding subject within a Bachelor of Midwifery program.
