Luka Barba founded Deeply Rooted Healing after the births of her two daughters, experiences she describes as a turning point in how she understood care for new mothers. She saw how little structured support exists for women in the weeks after birth, and set out to bring that care to families in her own community.

Her training blends clinical skill with older postpartum traditions. She is a UCSD-certified lactation educator and counselor, a registered biodynamic craniosacral therapist with more than 700 training hours, and a certified postpartum care provider who also teaches other practitioners. She runs this community to pass that same depth of care on to more mothers and the people who support them.
