Death Literacy Community

The Death Literacy Community is a self-paced online training program and peer community designed to prepare practitioners to become trusted death literacy educators in their communities. The 25-lesson curriculum covers death anxiety and wellness, person-centered language, and cultural, spiritual, and religious humility, equipping members with both foundational knowledge and ready-to-use programming for workshops and community events. Participants receive a full suite of prepared materials including a community series, workshops, and downloadable worksheets, along with ongoing support to develop a personalized offerings suite suited to their context. The community space hosts discussion threads, interactive prompts, and peer accountability, with monthly live webinars titled "Successes, Struggles, and Special Topics" providing a recurring touchpoint for collective learning. Members gain access to a community of practitioners spanning death doulas, clinicians, hospice volunteers, faith leaders, therapists, and speakers, creating a multidisciplinary peer network grounded in shared purpose. A one-time investment of $295 provides ongoing access to the full curriculum and community, with equity scholarships available for those who need support.
