Golf can feel intimidating to break into alone, especially for women who did not grow up playing. Maggie Lessel launched Fore the Girls STL in May 2025 to change that, building a social golf group for women in the Greater St. Louis area who want to learn without the pressure of a traditional golf setting.

Members show up to weekly driving range nights, group rounds, and beginner-friendly clinics designed for connection first and skill second. Many attendees arrive solo and leave having met new people, whether they are picking up a club for the first time or looking for a more social way to play.
