The Intersectionality Collective is a private digital community established by the Intersectionality Training Institute (ITI) and its founder Lisa Bowleg, PhD, designed for scholars, researchers, practitioners, and students who work with intersectionality theory and methodology. Access is by application only — ensuring safety, confidentiality, and the intellectual rigor that the subject demands — with three subscription tiers tailored to different levels of engagement. The Community tier is free (with an optional $250 annual contribution) and provides access to forums, resources, an Opportunities Feed, and the Intersectionality SOS help space. The Researcher tier ($799/year) adds ITI's training modules and quarterly office hours with Dr. Bowleg. The Scholar tier ($1,499/year) adds the full ITI training video library, fully edited recorded training content, and monthly office hours with Dr. Bowleg. All members benefit from access to intersectionality-related articles and measures, the Research Salon archive, Intersectionalia back issues, and ITI's short video library. The Collective is entirely member-funded, with no external grants or organizational backing, making each subscription directly support its sustainability. The community serves a global audience of scholars working across disciplines, with particular application to health equity, social sciences, and interdisciplinary research.
