Theater Folx of Color (TFOC) is a platform dedicated to amplifying the voices, work, and connections of BIPOC theater artists through an affinity space built by and for them. Co-founded in 2019 as a Facebook Group by Jocelyn Prince and an intergenerational collective of Black women, TFOC has grown into a powerful network where theater artists and advocates of color can support one another without navigating the barriers and biases that often exist in mainstream theater spaces. The community hosts local meetups in cities across the country, giving members a chance to meet face-to-face, share stories, and build genuine professional and personal relationships that sustain a creative career. Online, TFOC provides a continuous space for collaboration, resource-sharing, and advocacy among artists who understand each other's experiences firsthand. Jocelyn brings both lived experience and institutional credibility — having taught at Yale's David Geffen School of Drama and Northwestern — to a community that takes BIPOC theater artists seriously. Whether you are an emerging artist or a seasoned professional, TFOC is a home built with you in mind.
