Dr Wanda Legrand is the founder of The Joyful Educator Community, leveraging over 30 years of experience in public education leadership to transform how women educational leaders engage, grow, and thrive. Her background includes roles as Chief Student Services Officer for Guilford County Schools and as Deputy Chancellor for Social‐Emotional and Academic Development at DC Public Schools, combined with a doctorate in education.

Her mission with The Joyful Educator Community is to create a sanctuary for Black women leaders in education where strategy, equity, and joy are not optional, they’re integral to leadership and professional fulfillment.
